The Land- On behalf of Dennis Tierney

Created by Katie 11 years ago
Gary and I would take our uncle, Dick Tierney, up to The Land. We would just hang out there, the three of us, eithier out on the patio if it was warm or in the sun-room when the weather wasn't that nice. We would have some beers, watch the deer and turkeys walking around The Land, listen to music and talk about when we were kids or about what guys talk about. Didn't do much of anything but enjoyed each others company and loved just being there. If you have ever been there you would understand. It is so peaceful. Jackie and I's grandkids go up there a lot and they have all of these stuff toys in their bedrooms. Gary used to love putting little dolls and stuffed animals in Dick's bed, in his suitcase and on the toilet seat just to drive uncle Dick nuts. But Dick loved it, he loved the attention. Dick has Alzheimer's and his health is not as good as back then so I don't know if he'll ever be back and of course Gary is no longer with us. The times I go up there alone and I'm sitting there I can see them and feel their presence.
